Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki
The Water Tower is located inside the courtyard of the barracks of the citadel. It was built on the plan of circle in 1847 in neo-Gothic style. Probably it was designed by Polish architect.
The Water Tower is a brick of brick, plastered and two-storey. She was surrounded by a prominent pillars. The water reservoir is located on the second floor, is placed on massive pillars and has a 12.5 meter in diameter. The tower gives an impression of being a very light building, similar to a palace building.
In the spaces between the pillars was placed pours of water, each fastened in an open lion's jaws. Interesting fact is that the smaller heads of the three lions could take heated water because straight behind the wall there was a heating stove. In addition, there was a stone trough built in the wall of the niche. The trough was allocated for watering horses. One can enter the tower by two-wings gate richely decorated with flowery ornaments.
