The Modlin Power Station
ul. I Pułku Lotnictwa Myśliwskeigo, Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki

The power station in Modlin Fortress was activated in 1924 in a classical building on the Narew River at the altitude of the White Tower. The first generator of direct current was powerd by 200 horsepower steam machinery. A few months later there was a three-phase alternating current activated, too. It had the 500V voltage. At the end of the year a high voltage line of 8 kilometers wad completed.
During another few years the power station was modernized and equipped with current producing machines and two internal combustion engines. Theywere powerd by mazout. Three working current producing machines gave the voltage of 6500V and supplied with electricity not only Modlin, but also the Nowy Dwór Maz. The power station worked until mid-fifties of the 20th century.
